Doctor Mike On Diets: Intermittent Fasting | Diet Review

Hey guys! I’ve seen over and over questions and comments regarding dieting so I decided to start a series where I conduct a diet review in detail. I know many of you want to lose weight and there are many videos on weight loss out there. But I want to give you an honest doctor’s take on fasting or time restricted eating.

I kicked off the series with the very popular, intermittent fasting or time-restricted eating. It’s claim to fame is that helps burn belly fat/ lose your belly and it does so through fast weight loss. But is fast weight loss even healthy?

Anyway, I could go into more detail covering the smallest intricacies of the diet but I did not want to weigh down the video, both literally and figuratively. Please let me know if this is too little, too much, or just the right amount of information about intermittent fasting.

  5. when i was 17 years old i've developed fatty liver my stomach hurts, i have nausea, and when i eat carbs i want to vomit. my doctor told me to loose weight i was 95kg that time and my height was 5'10. i needed to reduce to atleast 85kg. i started learning about IT and practice the 16 hours IT, then i lose like 7 kg and my stomach is not hurting anymore. but once i got out of it my weight went back but not my fatty liver i just want to get rid of all my visceral fats. but idk what is the best method to do so.

  15. Very old video. But to anyone who may see this that's fasting and having trouble with cravings. Make a physical note of your cravings throughout a fasting day. And when you're not fasting, return to that list and ask yourself if you're still craving those things. Its mostly just a way for you to put off the craving until you no longer feel it. Hope this helps some people as it's helped me. And I doubt you'll see this. But thank you, Dr. Mike for all you've done in helping people make informed decisions based on facts with as little bias as possible. While it's impossible for someone to remain completely unbiased, you do an amazing job of presenting the facts as such in your videos.

  17. Intermittent fasting is only good for people without gastrointestinal tract problems, right? I tried fasting for one day (few times a couple of years ago) and it felt ok for stomach but was mentally difficult. Recently doctor told me to eat 6 times per day because of bile reflux and some problems with gallbladder, so I guess fasting isn't an option for me.
